Dr. Alfgeir Kristjansson explains the Icelandic Prevention Model

Erin Mills Connects and its lead organization, The Dam: Develop Assist Mentor, recently received approval to continue with the implementation of the Icelandic Prevention Model that holds promise for better mental health and less substance use among our young people. Under the banner of Planet Youth Mississauga and funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada, we will be working with local agencies, parents/guardians, youth and schools in Erin Mills, Meadowvale and Cooksville.
