CANCELLED – Healthy Relationships Plus – Enhanced Program for Newcomer Youth
This program is to be rescheduled to later in 2024.
Erin Mills Connects and Polycultural Immigrant & Community Services are working together to hold their first Healthy Relationships Plus – Enhanced program for newcomer youth at Polycultural’s location in Sheridan Centre near the Sheridan Library. Twenty high school students will spend three days with a master facilitator learning about healthy boundaries, communication, coping skills, mental health and more. They will also practice giving apologies, presentation skills and negotiating with peers for better outcomes. This program is best suited to students in ESLD/E or mainstream English.
If you know a newcomer youth (who arrived in Canada in 2022 or later) attending a Mississauga high school who would appreciate gaining these important skills, earning volunteer hours and a certificate of completion from Western University, please pass along this flyer. Thank you to the City of Mississauga for funding this program.
